Information Systems Technician, Feb 2010 – Feb 2014

· Responsible for the installation, operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of over three million dollars worth of communications equipment.

· Transmitted, received and logged messages directly related to matters of national security.

· Set up and operated mobile networks as part of a highly trained nuclear disaster response team.

· Held a Top Secret Security clearance, and still hold a Secret clearance for use in the field of Intelligence and Electronic Warfare.

· Configured and monitored local area networks. Including routers, switches, switchboards, cabling, workstations, and software.

· Provided customer support for any account issues, connection problems, password problems, as well as security training.

· Performed daily, weekly, and yearly back ups on multiple types of media.

· Installed and configured servers, monitored system performance, installed updates and patches as needed, and ensured redundant equipment was functional in the event of a necessary failover.

· Established, monitored, and maintained Radio Frequency communications systems, and performed spectrum management within our area of responsibility.

· Regularly worked with joint service coalitions, civilian contractors, and managed detachments across the country as well as strategic detachments worldwide.

· I was among the first enlisted group to earn the Enlisted Information Dominance Warfare Specialist designation.

Additional Skills

· I have held my Comp TIA Security + Certification since 2012.

· I have passed the Comp TIA A+ 220-801 Exam, and plan on taking the 220-802 exam in a few weeks to receive my certification.

· I currently hold a Secret Security Clearance, and was formally TS/SCI Eligible.

· I am familiar with various Windows, Mac, Linux and Unix operating systems.

· I am proficient with all Microsoft office software.

· I have used many of the industries leading tools such a Wireshark, Microsoft Visual Studio, Packet Tracer, and Oracle VirtualBox.
